Instructions:

Row 2: Chain 2 (this chain counts as your first hdc stitch). Turn your work. Now, we'll be working in the back loops only for the ribbed texture. Make a hdc in the back loop of only the first stitch. Continue working hdc in the back loop of each stitch across the row. You'll still have 39 hdc.
