Helpful Cooking Tips:
Let your dough rise properly: Sourdough can be slow to rise, but patience is key! Allow your dough to rise in a warm, draft-free place for the best results.
Use a cast-iron skillet: For perfectly golden and crispy English muffins, cook them on a well-seasoned cast-iron skillet over medium heat. This helps achieve an even cook and that perfect golden brown crust.
Don't skip the cornmeal dusting: Sprinkle cornmeal on the skillet before cooking the muffins to prevent sticking and give them that authentic texture and taste.
Serving Suggestions:
Top with a dollop of jam or honey for a simple, sweet breakfast.
Make a savory breakfast sandwich with scrambled eggs, cheese, and crispy bacon.
Serve with a side of fresh fruit and a hot cup of coffee for a cozy, satisfying start to your day.
